They place the city as one of the global leaders in digital transformation, as it initiates innovation in public service delivery and urban governance. The city embraces front-line technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) through its Smart Dubai initiative, aiming at comprehensive streamlining of public governance processes, enhancing the quality of public services and ensuring transparency. Key platforms as Dubai Now and UAE Pass highlight the high accessibility and efficiency of public services, while Dubai’s obligation for sustainability and digital inclusion ensures that all residents have access to these improvements. Despite this success, cybersecurity, digital literacy and global competition remain challenging.
