Summary/Abstract: Corporate security increasingly depends on how organizations manage their workforce, making the relationship between human resources and security a central concern of modern risk management. Employees influence security outcomes through their behavior, decision-making, access privileges, and adherence to procedures. Organizational culture further determines whether individuals treat security responsibilities as an integral part of their job or as secondary obligations. Legal requirements, including data protection and employment regulations, add another layer of complexity by requiring that monitoring, investigation, and access control measures protect both organizational assets and employee rights. At the same time, digital transformation has expanded the scope of HR responsibilities, as cloud-based platforms, remote work systems, biometric identification, and automated decision-making tools increase both efficiency and vulnerability. These developments position HR departments as key players in the enterprise security architecture, rather than as administrative support functions. Effective corporate security therefore depends on the integration of personnel management, governance structures, technological safeguards, and behavioral monitoring into a coordinated framework.
