Summary/Abstract: The abuse of children in terrorist organizations represents a serious security, legal and humanitarian problem of modern society. The paper analyzes the abuse of children in terrorist organizations as a complex security and social phenomenon, with a special focus on the interaction of propaganda and coercion as key mechanisms of their instrumentalization. Contemporary forms of terrorism are characterized by high adaptability and the ability to use vulnerable social categories, among which children occupy a special place due to their susceptibility to influences and limited capacities for autonomous decision-making. The paper discusses the factors that contribute to the radicalization of children, including individual, family, social and political circumstances, as well as the role of digital space in the spread of extremist narratives. A special segment of the work is devoted to the analysis of the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the post-conflict legacy, social divisions and institutional challenges shape specific security dynamics. Contemporary approaches to prevention, deradicalization and rehabilitation of children are also considered, with an emphasis on the need for integrated and multidisciplinary strategies. The work points to the importance of developing effective policies that simultaneously protect children and contribute to the long-term stability and security of society.
