Summary/Abstract: With The Architectonics of Morality, written by Emilian Mihailov, we are presented with one of the most rigorous and well‑structured exegeses of Kantian ethics in Romanian philosophical scholarship (and beyond). The volume offers an original contribution to the interpretation of Kantian ethics, focusing on one of its most interesting and widely debated issues: the relationship between the formulas of the categorical imperative and the internal grounding structure of morality (in other words: the sources of normativity). The book’s aim is ambitious: an architectonic reconstruction of practical reason capable of providing a coherent account of the number, irreducible functions, and interdependencies among the formulas of the categorical imperative.
