Enhancing Copyright Protection Online: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Monitoring

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze various artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools for monitoring potential online copyright infringements and to examine their effective practical application through a personal experimental method. The use of AI is part of the so-called organizational protection method. A survey was conducted among rights holders in Bulgaria regarding their actions in cases of detected infringements. Based on an empirical study of the proposed AI-based tools, a SWOT analysis is presented to assess their potential for online copyright protection. The experimental method shows that using AI-based tools is an effective way to identify online copyright infringements and take timely measures. The research methodology includes a legal and economic interpretation of the topic with possible management solutions. The historical method, theoreticallogical method, experimental method, and the method for studying and analyzing specific information for copyright objects were used.
