Summary/Abstract: The author analyzes the phenomenon of children in armed conflicts, from recruitment to reintegration, with special emphasis on girl soldiers. The paper begins with a theoretical elaboration of the concept of childhood, while the core of the paper focuses on the legal mechanisms for the protection of children in armed conflicts, including the norms that regulate their recruitment. Furthermore, the methods of recruitment and reintegration and its impact on the physical and psychological health of children are considered. The final part of the paper is dedicated to women and girls in conflicts, with special reference to the phenomenon of girl soldiers, highlighting the key factors of successful reintegration into the community.
