Employment Outcomes of Graduates in Professional Field 1.3 “Pedagogy of Teaching…”: A Decade of Rankings in the Higher Education Rating System

Summary/Abstract: This article presents an analysis of the dynamics of ranking results in the Higher Education Rating System (HERS) in Bulgaria within professional field 1.3. “Pedagogy of Teaching…”. A sample of six classical and leading universities in the field was selected, covering a ten-year period. A comparative and correlation analysis was applied to the z-scores of stable rating indicators related to graduate employment and regional significance. The study aims to identify trends in dynamics, correlation similarities, and institutional differences in university indicators, as well as the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also traces similarities with certain economic indicators. The values of the r-correlations of the system indicators reveal similarities among universities by rank and among competing groups. Similarities are observed in the r-correlation values between economic and rating indicators. The results provide an opportunity for analytical institutional self-assessment of graduates’ labor market outcomes and for strategic decisions in managing competitive advantages.
