Summary/Abstract: The current legal situation does not take into account the specifics of the operation of sports facilities in terms of determining the acceptable level of noise in the environment. The adoption of the proposal contained in the bill will result in not applying the provisions of the Environmental Protection Law regarding sports practised as part of sports training or school and recreational sports activities to selected categories of sports facilities, such as sports fields, courts, running tracks, and skateparks. The adoption of the bill will not contribute to the achievement of the objective set out in the bill's explanatory statement, which is to eliminate court rulings resulting in restrictions on the operation and closing of sports facilities due to residents' complaints about noise generated by users of these facilities.
