Summary/Abstract: The study provides a detailed analysis of issues related to ensuring the availability of medicines within the framework of the Pharmaceutical Law and the Act on the Reimbursement of Medicines, Foodstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Uses and Medical Devices. The author presents the procedures applied in situations where medicinal products are unavailable, as well as the measures adopted to counteract shortages of medicines caused by exports. In addition, the analysis refers to the issue of admission of imported medicinal products to the market without authorisation in exceptional circumstances.
