Summary/Abstract: Our research focuses on the study of argumentative strategies as deployed in the digital discourse of influencers described as web rhetors, in the Algerian context. The objective of focusing on the web communication of these content creators is to analyze their techno-discursive practices (Paveau, 2017) to explain the persuasive power (Amossy, 2006) of their linguistic materiality, which allows them to become opinion leaders (Attruia, 2021) in the digital world, to identify their worldview, and their ability to influence a community of followersTo do this, we chose to analyze three videos containing content that generated a controversial effect (buzz effect) during the period 2022-2023. In order to exploit these videos, which constitute a highly structured medium combining two communication channels: animated images and verbal production produced in a digital environment (i.e., the sharing of travel experiences for videos 1-2 taken from Nour Brahimi and Khoubaib's Instagram accounts, and reflections on social life for video 3 produced by Ghosto on TikTok), we translated and transcribed their content to facilitate the analysis of the argumentative strategies used by influencers to exercise their authority through this media exposure.
