Around the lexem column and his synonyms

Summary/Abstract: In this article, the analysis covers the lexeme column in it's basic - architectural - meaning: in a building, defined in two ways: (1) as an independent, usually free-standing building and (2) as a part of a building, and a group of its specialist domain synonyms from the field of architecture, including five lexical units such as: atlant, caryatid, console, buttress, skarpa. The domain qualification of the collected synonyms was made on the basis of the occurrence of a specialist qualifier from the field of architecture (archit.) before the definition of a given lexeme in the list of all collected synonyms for the noun column in the meaning 'in a building' in the basic dictionary source - WSJP PAN. The lack of a qualifier excludes a given synonym from the set of domain synonyms.
