Activation methods in the face of education challenges

Summary/Abstract: In the face of the challenges of the modern world, such as overstimulation and disinformation, which appear with excessive information consumption and omnipresent digitalization, education faces the difficult task of attracting and maintaining students’ attention. In response to the increasing problems, this article presents selected activation methods adapted to the needs of Generation Z and Generation Alpha, among others. The use of storytelling, manual tools and creative use of digital tools that can increase the engagement of students, support the development of critical thinking and train memory are discussed. The authors also share their experiences resulting from the use of selected tools in working with individual age groups.
