Summary/Abstract: Henri Jacquier was born on September 25, 1900, in Grenoble, France, and died on April 19, 1980, in Cluj-Napoca. He started his teaching career at the „Mihai Eminescu”. He had fond memories of the „Mihai Eminescu” College, where he learned the Romanian language, and of the city of Satu Mare. He became a Ph.D. supervisor at the „Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Letters. Henri Jacquier distinguished himself both as a teacher and as a man of culture.
