Summary/Abstract: This study examines the conceptual foundations of inclusive education, emphasizing the role of methodological support in integrating children into general education environments. An empirical study was conducted, covering the methodological support implemented during the 2023/2024 academic year by the Regional Center for the Support of Inclusive Education — Sofia City. The study's primary objective is to identify common challenges in kindergartens and schools and to develop precise, practical guidelines for addressing issues in inclusive education at all levels. The methodological framework encompasses an analysis of specialized literature, the development of protocol and feedback forms, the implementation of methodological supports according to a standardized template and in accordance with the current regulatory framework, the preparation of individualized feedback for each support provided, and the tracking of the results achieved. The results of the study outline a trend towards unification of recommendations made to different educational institutions, which is an important development in the field. The most frequently identified problems include the insufficient professional training of pedagogical staff, difficult communication between personal development support team members and parents, a lack of strategic approaches to identifying children with special educational needs, and limited knowledge of and application of various methods and techniques for work, including the use of visual supports, sensory integration, and establishing "quiet corners" for temporary withdrawal from the social setting. In conclusion, methodological support is provided at the initiative of members of the personal development support teams and/or parents, with the aim being to provide clear, substantiated, and applicable recommendations for improvements in the quality of inclusive education. Through various approaches and techniques, this support promotes better educational outcomes and expands opportunities for the personal development of children and students.
