Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is to evaluate the efficiency of the banking sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period 2018-2023. using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method and examine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. 23 banks were included in the analysis, and efficiency was measured in three time frames: before the pandemic, during the pandemic and after the pandemic. Based on the calculated indices, statistical tests (t-test for dependent samples and Wilcoxon test) were conducted to examine the existence of significant differences in efficiency between the mentioned periods. Although oscillations and drops in average values were observed during the pandemic, the results indicate that these differences are not statistically significant. The results of this research suggest that the banking sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina has shown resilience to the crisis caused by the pandemic, maintaining relative stability of efficiency even in conditions of increased uncertainty. The stability of the results can be partially attributed to the banks’ adaptability and management’s ability to respond to the challenges of the crisis period.
