Anthropological foundations of education as an interpretative framework and an interdisciplinary context for understanding education

Summary/Abstract: The proposed reflections concern the anthropological foundations of education, understood as an interpretative framework that places the question of humanity at the center of the fundamental problems of pedagogy. I argue that referring to the anthropological foundations of education represents an approach that carries both research potential and meaning-making power. I assume that a framework is a system of concepts interconnected in such a way that understanding one of them is linked to understanding the entire structure. A given interpretative framework generates a specific set of questions, and by answering these questions, it becomes possible to understand a particular situation, circumstance, or relationship. A framework thus serves as a categorial structure for interpretation. This approach is situated within the broader context of social constructivism, which posits that it is the human being who constructs the social world and the knowledge about it. The meaning of a broadly understood text is therefore a construct that emerges as a result of interpretation carried out within a particular socio-cultural perspective. Proponowane rozważania dotyczą antropologicznych podstaw wychowania rozumianych jako rama interpretacyjna, sytuująca kwestię człowieczeństwa w centrum podstawowych problemów pedagogiki. Przy czym, opowiadam się za tym, że odwołanie się do antropologicznych podstaw wychowania jest podejściem niosącym ze sobą określony potencjał badawczy oraz moc sensotwórczą. Przyjmuję, że rama to system pojęć powiązanych ze sobą w taki sposób, że rozumienie jednego z nich wiąże się z rozumieniem całości struktury. Z przyjętej ramy interpretacyjnej wynika określony zestaw pytań. Dzięki odpowiedzi na powyższe pytania, możliwe jest rozumienie danej sytuacji, okoliczności czy zależności. Rama to struktura kategoryzacyjna służąca interpretacji. Podejście to sytuuje się w szerszym kontekście konstruktywizmu społecznego, głoszącego, iż to człowiek konstruuje świat społeczny i wiedzę o nim. Sens szeroko rozumianego tekstu to konstrukt, który powstaje w wyniku interpretacji, przeprowadzonej w pewnej społeczno-kulturowej perspektywie.
