Summary/Abstract: The Russia–Ukraine conflict has fundamentally reshaped Europe’s security architecture, eroding the post–Cold War order established after 1991. This study analyzes its impact during the Biden administration across political and diplomatic relations, defense modernization, and non-traditional security challenges, including terrorism, migration, energy security, and food security. Drawing on realist theory and the Copenhagen School’s securitization framework, the study shows how the conflict reflects great-power competition and how the European Union has securitized non-traditional threats. The findings indicate a sharp deterioration in Russia–Western relations, unprecedented European rearmament, intensified challenges from migration and terrorism, reduced dependence on Russian energy, and coordinated international efforts to stabilize food markets. The study highlights Europe’s accelerated move toward strategic autonomy and the continuing need for multilateral cooperation and peaceful conflict resolution.
