Summary/Abstract: The article presents the concept of strategic, sustainable management of road transport, with particular emphasis on the role of driving techniques, telematics and analytical tools in enhancing road safety and optimizing the operational costs of vehicle fleets. The study is based on the results of an original research program carried out on a group of 168 delivery vehicles that collectively covered nearly 10 million kilometers, as well as on recommendations from the fields of Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM), ecodriving, and technologies supporting advanced analysis of driver behavior. In the proposed perspective, transport management is treated as an element of a long-term sustainable development strategy integrating the environmental, social and organizational dimensions of transport operations. Particular attention is paid to the identification and assessment of human factors as key determinants of operational efficiency and as critical components in shaping a driving culture that aligns with the principles of safety and ecological responsibility. This approach is consistent with the framework defined by the European Green Deal and the reporting obligations arising from Directive (EU) 2022/2464 (CSRD), highlighting the growing importance of data management, emission monitoring and environmental transparency in the transport sector.
