Summary/Abstract: Ghimuș’s Inn was built on Lozonschi Street in Iași and operated for several decades in the 19th century, being mentioned in fragments of memoirs from that period. Toward the middle of the century, the authorities drafted instructions regarding the formal obligations of innkeepers to record travelers in a register, which was then to be handed over to the Agia. The Ghimuș’s Inn register contains a list of guests from 1841 to 1846, providing brief information about travelers passing through the capital of Moldavia during those years. Thus, the register serves as a historical source for aspects of daily life, movement of people and social dynamics of the time.
