Summary/Abstract: In modern combat operations, unmanned aerial and ground vehicles are increasingly used for logistical support in combat operations, and not just for reconnaissance and strikes, as is evident from the war in Ukraine. Russia and Ukraine are increasingly rapidly developing and deploying unmanned systems, to reduce troop casualties and increase their effectiveness on the battlefield. This reveals a global shift from traditional to robotic warfare, where machines are increasingly taking over roles once performed by humans. In the daily information that is revealed about the war in Ukraine, data on the participation of unmanned aerial vehicles in supporting the logistics of the armed forces of both warring parties is increasingly appearing. On the front lines, both sides face what some authors call “defeat zones” – areas completely dominated by reconnaissance and strike drones. Any movement in these areas is detected and targeted immediately, forcing armies to rely on unmanned ground vehicles, as well as the use of air for logistical activities such as supply, evacuation and transportation, and frontline support.
