Short Description

Voenen Zhurnal scientific journal was founded in 1888, starting as a monthly issue and, after two interruptions in 1913 and 1916 – 1919, today celebrates over 130 years (volumes) of publication history. Since 2000, the team of Voenen Zhurnal is merged into the editorial team of Rakovski National Defence College (Bulgaria).

The subject matter of Voenen Zhurnal is related to national and homeland security and security policies, welfare systems, diplomatic and military history, educational policies in the field of higher education and in acquiring new and specific skills and competencies. The articles are organized in several topics, such as Research, analysis, foresees; Policies, strategies, leadership; Theory and practice; Book review etc. The journal strictly follows double blind peer review procedure, all incoming manuscripts are also being checked using dedicated antiplagiarism software. Voenen Zhurnal has adopted Code of Conduct regarding the activities of authors, editors, reviewers and the publisher.

Recently, the journal is published in 4 issues a year.
