Summary/Abstract: The article explores the integration of GEOINT (geospatial intelligence) and OSINT (open-source intelligence) as a modern approach to enhancing maritime surveillance and early warning systems. It emphasizes the strategic importance of the Black Sea for Bulgaria and the need for reliable intelligence systems to counter threats such as illegal migration, smuggling, and environmental incidents. GEOINT provides detailed data through satellites, radars, and AIS systems, while OSINT complements the analysis with information from news, social media, and specialized platforms. The integration of these sources creates a dynamic situational picture, including the analysis of „4D events“ – a combination of spatial and temporal data for accurate tracking of threats and anomalies. Practical examples include monitoring military activities, controlling migration flows, and identifying environmental risks. The article highlights the critical role of modern technologies like artificial intelligence and standardized data visualization platforms in maritime security.
