Summary/Abstract: The lessons learning process is well-established method in the Bulgarian Armed Forces and NATO for improving performance and adapting to the changing environment. This is done by introducing good practices and conduct activities preventing repeated faults. However, in some cases, difficulties arise when the process is applied at the national level due to ambiguities in the used terminology. As a result, the process becomes compromised and the desired outcomes are not achieved. This arises the need for clarifying and specifying the terms used in the process to achieve unambiguity.
