Summary/Abstract: The Military Instrument of Power is designed continuously to deter, protect and support civil authorities. The implementation of NATO’s resilience concepts enhances the ability of member states to withstand, respond to and recover from the negative impact of emergencies and crises, allows strengthening the collective security and defense of the Alliance. Increasing individual, national and Alliance resilience through increased military and civilian preparedness reduces vulnerability, increases support for conducting operations with armed forces, making the Alliance a more reliable deterrent against potential adversaries.
