Summary/Abstract: The article examines the theological, anthropological and formative implications of the use of artificial intelligence (AI), analysing the relationship between information, formation, disinformation and spiritual deformation. Drawing on elements from the early patristic exe-getical tradition of inner human formation, the study shows that AI, far from being merely a technological tool, becomes a space for spiritual discernment: a test of the ability to distin-guish between the Word and the algorithm, between presence, communion and simulacrum. Pedagogical, ethical and legal aspects (AI Act 2024) are discussed, as well as the risks of misinformation and algorithmic manipulation. The conclusions propose a theology of digital discernment, in which discernment is understood as a form of spiritual literacy and theological responsibility in the data age.
