Summary/Abstract: This article examines how contemporary religion, with a focus on the Orthodox tradition, can integrate emerging digital technologies to address the psycho-affective needs of the postmodern individual. It explores the notion of technologically mediated transcendence and the potential of virtual environments to provide access to the core dimensions of sacred transcendence, belonging, and emotional support. The discussion covers both established digital tools (prayer platforms, live-streamed services, online communities) and underutilized innovations (artificial intelligence, augmented reality, blockchain, gamification). It also analyzes the psychological mechanisms through which digitally mediated religious experiences can foster inner comfort and emotional balance, while acknowledging associated risks such as the superficializing of spirituality, misinformation, and digital dependency. The study concludes by proposing strategies for developing a religious paradigm suited to the digital age, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, the training of spiritual leaders in media literacy, and the formulation of ethical guidelines for the use of technology in religious life.
