Summary/Abstract: Digital technology has deeply permeated the lives of today’s world and modern individuals – Impacting their professional activities, their homes, and even their inner selves. With the increasing integration of artificial intelligence, it has begun – and will continue – to reshape various relationships: between humans and their environment, their professions or jobs, their friends and colleagues, their families, and themselves. However, beyond certain scientifically demonstrated but limited benefits, it also presents numerous risks, especially for children and adolescents whose self-control abilities are not yet fully developed. When devices are used excessively, they can lead to physical, psychological, and moral issues. More and more children today spend their time not in direct interaction with their families, peers, friends, or classmates, but rather in the shadow and anonymity of screens and digital devices. This study proposes, based on the specialized literature, several solutions for rediscovering the essence of true childhood – rooted in family interaction and play, alongside other children and in nature, rather than in the darkness and solitude of cold, alluring, and paradoxically, sometimes addictive screens. The central idea is the necessity for a “pedagogy” and “digital ethics” on the part of parents – thus enabling them to introduce their children into the vast digital universe in a balanced and beneficial way, while safeguarding their optimal physical and emotional health and development.
