Summary/Abstract: In the trial of the disease, the person often has the intense feeling of loneliness and abandonment, his faith being severely tested. Often, the close ones are not available or are indifferent to the suffering and concern of the person. They are afraid to listen and participate in personal feelings, which intensifies loneliness. To overcome the state of bitterness of suffering outside of God, it takes a lot of strength and time, and it does not always succeed. And the tendency to withdraw into memories, the prolonged deepening as the years pass, will degenerate into a life crisis when the help of a specialized psychologist or even a psychiatrist will be needed. The attitude towards illness is that of fitting it into God’s plan for the salvation of man. And if God deems it necessary and savior for some to seize the Kingdom of Heaven, especially by enduring illness and suffering, good Christians do not grumble, do not rebel, are not overwhelmed by indignation, but thank God for this chance of purification, of salvation. They want to purify themselves of soul impurities through the suffering of this life, in order to escape the future suffering which is eternal and unbearable. Healing consists in transforming self-love into love of God and people. Therefore, the disease, to the extent of understanding its benefits, influences a lot and changes the attitude towards life and vocation.
