Summary/Abstract: The topic of this study is related to a very important and actual theme: the inter-ethnical relations. Therefore, we begin our analysis with an etymologic approach, starting from the oldest meaning in the Old Testament: qoym. In this regard, one of our main ideas is the unity on human race in a social perspective, starting from Noach. On the next level, the Old Testament speaks about Abraham and his ethnical origin in Canaan. In the New Testament, the term is used under the word: ethne. We tried in our study to demonstrate the universal character of the Christian faith and also the Gospel paradigm regarding the international and interethnic relationships. Besides, we have an approach on Saint Paul’s missionary and apologetic background, especially on the Epistle to Romans. The last part of our study is an ecclesiological approach on the term of katolikos, i.e. of the third important attribute of the Church: the universality.
