Summary/Abstract: The present study approaches the dialogue between the theology and arts. The author underlines the fact that Orthodox Aesthetics, or, more accurate, the philokalical Aesthetics is not a remote field to theology, but, on the contrary, represents an essential part of the Church Tradition. Therefore, the implicit proposal of the author is that theology should open to enrich itself with the forgotten treasures of arts, in their diversity, from picture to architecture and from music to movie. The theological reason of this openness is the fact that beauty is rooted in God as the Ultimate source of all beauty and good, according to Saint Dionysius the Areopagite.
