Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the impact of digital tools on historical research and discourse, using the example of an interdisciplinary research project entitled "The cultural and intellectual geography of the former Polish lands under partition 1865-1918: A digital vademecum". The text also presents in detail the results of a survey in The Geographical Dictionary of the Kingdom of Poland and Other Slavic Countries, as well as the team's discussion of the selection of territory, which allowed for reflection on the "imagined borders" of the Commonwealth at the end of the nineteenth century.
