Summary/Abstract: The study employs a biblical exegetical approach to analyse the theme of suffering in the context of revelation and divine salvation. The analysis is conducted through an examination of the Book of Job. In examining the suffering question, the author also considers the interrelationship between suffering, theophany and healing. To this end, he draws upon both philocalic literature and biblical exegesis. The study posits that suffering is not an intrinsic aspect of divine creation; rather, it is a consequence of the fall of man, instigated by Satan. The author identifies the Book of Job as a model of spiritual endurance, with Job representing an archetypal figure of an innocent sufferer who gains a deeper understanding of existence and the divine order through his encounter with God. Theophany is presented as the pivotal moment of divine revelation, offering not logical answers but profound spiritual meaning, leading to healing and restoration.
