Summary/Abstract: The study examines the possibilities of contemporary theological language in the context of religious indifference, a pluralistic culture, and the synodal renewal of the Church. The introductory section analyzes shifts in the understanding of religious experience and the movement from Luther’s question seeking a merciful God – one whose image and face are not shaped by fear but by the possibility of forming a trusting relationship – to today’s question concerning whether a credible experience of God is possible at all. Methodologically, the study draws on a dialogical approach, shared theological “rumination,” and the thoughtful use of digital tools. A comparison of the perspectives of Christoph Theobald, Jan Loffeld, Julia Knop, and Kurt Koch on this issue shows that the key to an incarnated Gospel – one that remains tangible today – is the experience of encounter, the capacity to listen, and the existence of faith as testimony. In a “modeled” discussion with these authors, the study develops the understanding of the Church as a “resonant space,” in which the deepening of knowledge of the truth about God unfolds and grows through the process of communal discernment, based on the synodal path applied to theological inquiry. The final chapter presents a practical synodal experience from a lecture of the same title delivered at an international scientific conference. It confirms that to speak about God today means first to listen together – in the plurality of voices, in the silence that creates space for the Spirit, and in a shared search for meaning and hope.
