Summary/Abstract: A substantial part of European civil law consists primarily of directives on consumerprotection or tortious bligations. These standards can be characterized as community law, belonging to the obligation part of substantive civil law. The aforementioned standards regulate contractual and tortious obligations through individual partial steps (directives). Despite the relatively extensive legislation in this area of the internal market, there is stilla complete absence of a common and uniform regulation of common principles and principles for individual Member States, which brings about internal contradictions in the content of individual regulations, which lack uniform application and uniform interpretation. The present article deals with the unification efforts of the Union in the area of contract law.
