Summary/Abstract: In this study, the focus will be on some of the visionary motifs of Tadeusz Lewowicki's thought which appear on the basis of his Theory of Identity Behaviours. Some of these threads, concerning the communities from the Polish-Czech borderland (on both sides of the border, although not only from this borderland), are presented by Lewowicki in the form of his own interpretation of several dominant tendencies and several hypotheses pertaining to language, communication, education and identity. The text consists of three parts: the first introduces Tadeusz Lewowicki's work, read and analyzed by selected scholars; the second concerns three original theses formulated by Lewowicki concerning identity, language and education; the third and last part of the article is a summary, in which I indicate T. Lewowicki's broad horizons, his pedagogical imagination, anticipating the consequences of the observed civilizational, social and cultural changes and the message of his works.
