Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the results of ethnographic research conducted in 2024 among the Faroese Polish community, which included participant observation and in-depth interviews. The study focused on the processes of adaptation and acculturation of Poles in the context of the socio-cultural and climatic specificity of the Faroe Islands. The article comprises an analysis of the findings from eleven interviews, which addressed issues of regional education and the Faroese society's readiness to face challenges related to increasing multiculturalism. The results of the conversations reveal the migrants' perception of the Faroese society's tendency towards conservatism and engaged traditionalism, which coexists with openness to changes resulting from the increasing integration of the islands with the rest of the world and the acceptance of immigrants from other cultures. The article addresses the social and cultural changes in the Faroe Islands in the context of migration, identity protection, and the role of regional and intercultural education in shaping local awareness and preparing younger generations to function in a diverse, globalizing world. It contains an analysis of the impact of regional education on the Faroe Islands in shaping identity, nurturing traditions, and preparing young residents to function in a diverse cultural reality. The study also addresses concerns about the impact of immigration on the social and cultural structures of the region and reflects on the balance between preserving local traditions and being open to changes resulting from the presence of other cultures. The analysis highlights the challenges facing the Faroe Islands in the context of global transformations and the need to adapt the educational system to growing multiculturalism. The conclusions emphasize the importance of regional education in the integration of cultures and the protection of local identity.
