Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the creation and implementation of the foreign policy of the SFRY in the mentioned period. It explains the great influence that the party had on foreign policy, but also the significant personal influence of Josip Broz Tito. He was one of the creators of modern-type summit diplomacy, so this analysis is important for the entire diplomatic law. The delicate foreign policy situation after the breakup with the USSR is discussed, as well as the rapprochement of the SFRY with Western European countries and the USA. Special attention is paid to the establishment of the Non-Aligned Movement and the role that this organization played during the Cold War.The paper is written from the perspective of diplomatic law, but also international relations, which gives it additional value. The analysis covers all the most important international events and crises of this time, but also points to the wise foreign policy and reputation that the SFRY had. The actions of the SFRY through and within international organizations, especially the United Nations and the OSCE, are also pointed out. The consideration of the foreign policy of the SFRY ends with the death of Josip Broz Tito, which ended a successful era that our former state had in this period.
