The Usefulness of Panoramic Photographs in the ‘Google Street View’ Technology for Identifying Local Architectural Forms in the Uniejów Commune

Summary/Abstract: The article presents theoretical considerations on the use of panoramic photographs in the ‘Google Street View’ (GSV) technology for the identification of traditional buildings made of natural stone in the Uniejów Commune. The discussion shows that this service can be a very useful and user-friendly tool for the initial recognition of basic properties of buildings, as well as for the qualification of individual objects for further, detailed analyses conducted directly in the field.
