Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyze and interpret depictions of female violence and their function in Ti West's film MaXXXine (2024). To this end, the study examines the film's formal structure, its historical context, related to the phenomenon of "satanic panic" in the 1980s, and its explicit social critique. Drawing on Mikhail Bakhtin's concept of carnivalization, the author argues that the parodic revaluations present in the film are closely tied to the transgressive nature of the violent imagery, which is defamiliarized by its association with the female protagonist.
