Summary/Abstract: The review presents the book by the literary critic Edvin Sugarev, dedicated to the poetic work of Georgi Rupchev – the brightest representative of the generation of the 1980s, to which the author himself belongs as a poet. Combining a literary scholarly approach and analytical skills with subtle insight and sensibility to Rupchev’s literary work, Edvin Sugarev analyzes the poetic universe of his colleague. Moreover, the effect of this approach on achieving a deep and authentic knowledge of Rupchev’s poetry is highlighted. The different contextualizations of the poet’s work, carried out step by step in each of the ten chapters of the book, are traced. The review evaluates the study as both “belated” and carried out by perhaps “the most appropriate author.
