Summary/Abstract: Although they have not been a major element in public attention for many decades, against the backdrop of the increasing alertness of extreme climatic phenomena and regional social and political problems, gradually but surely, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) seem to occupy an increasingly important place in the discourse and concerns of the media, politicians and researchers. Adapted to numerous studies on sustainable development, Maslow's pyramid of explaining the needs of the individual can be understood in the sense of a relevant explanatory framework of economic, social and environmental sustainability. In general, starting from the progression of needs, the assimilation of the Sustainable Development Goals with Maslow's pyramid has allowed for a greater in-depth study of issues related to poverty, social stability, prosperity and well-being, justice, strong institutions, etc. Thus, without repeating previous studies, the article aims to reinterpret the SDGs from the perspective of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, but also from the perspective of other facilitating theoretical frameworks, for a better explanation and systematization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
