Summary/Abstract: Sin and death—these are the two words under whose burden humanity lived until the Resurrection of Christ. Through sin and death, the human being had lost Paradise, the House of the Heavenly Father. Christ says of Himself: “I am the Resurrection and the Life” (John 11:25), meaning that He is the giver of life. Through His Resurrection, Christ awakened the world from the death of sin to life with God. We read about this passage from death to life also in the First Epistle of the Holy Apostle John: “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren; he who does not love his brother remains in death” (1 John 3:14).
