Summary/Abstract: "In theoretical and practical activity, man encounters identical situations, the solution of which requires the application of standardized algorithmic methods, and situations for which he does not find solutions in the experience acquired through learning, in the solution of which a heuristic modality is applied.A thinking problem occurs when an obstacle appears in the way of theoretical or practical activity, when the situation can be solved based on the experience available to the subject, on previous skills, when thinking is no longer confused with a problem.Etymologically pro-ballein means what is thrown forward as a barrier. As an obstacle, as a challenge by extension, which constitutes a theoretical and practical difficulty whose removal is questioned. The expression problem solving is used whenever it comes to finding new solutions.According to David Ausubel, problem solving is a kind of learning by discovery located in the behavioural hierarchy above the routine applications of routine problems.A question that demands an explanation does not constitute a problem, just as no problem, regardless of its degree of difficulty or the effort to discover the solution, represents a ground for problematization."
