Summary/Abstract: This article examines the axiological dimensions and temporal rhythms of French culture by approaching time as a linguo-cultural concept that is simultaneously experienced, perceived, socially constructed, symbolically mediated, and verbally configured. Situated at the intersection of linguistics, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, and the psychology of time, the study seeks to demonstrate that, within the French cultural sphere, time does not constitute a neutral or purely measurable category. Rather, it is valued, hierarchized, ritualized, and invested with moral, social, existential, and narrative meanings. The main objective of this research is to show that temporal representations in French culture reflect a complex system of values rather than a homogeneous temporal model. To this end, the study adopts an interdisciplinary methodological framework combining conceptual analysis, linguo-cultural interpretation, and a qualitative examination of linguistic data, with particular attention to idiomatic expressions, proverbs, and phraseological units. The analysis moves from the perceptual, biological, and cognitive foundations of temporal awareness to an exploration of the plurality of social temporalities. Particular attention is given to the tension between measured time and lived time, the cultural valorization of leisure and free time, the symbolic structuring of past, present, and future, and the role of discourse in shaping temporal experience. The results show that French culture does not adhere to a single temporal logic, but rather articulates multiple temporal regimes structured around recurrent values such as measure, balance, maturation, the quality of experience, and the legitimacy of inhabited time. This plural and dynamic configuration reflects a continuous negotiation between constraint and freedom, productivity and contemplation, normativity and lived experience.
