Summary/Abstract: In this case study, I present the changes in Hungarian stand-up comedy specials across various media (live, streaming, television) through the performance by Zoltán Kőhalmi titled The Hidden Truth. Stand-up comedy is an ephemeral, entertaining performing art activity performed on stage, but mostly not in a theatre, which is based on communication with the audience present. It is planned, but seems spontaneous. It does not have a final script; the performers leave space for the audience in their performances both as a speaking “co-performer”, and as someone to whom they adapt their topics based on the reactions. Also, television recording represents great value in this genre, which is why the article is about it. I have seen the performance in various forms, and I am comparing them.
