Summary/Abstract: The article presents three possible ways in which philosophical skepticism can be a spiritual malady. First, skepticism can be a kind of „spiritual drug”, a theoretical attitude that becomes addictive, according to Emil Cioran. Second, skepticism can be a negative-destructive way of thinking, as it has been accused of being since ancient times. Third, skepticism is analysed in association with the ontic maladies of Constantin Noica. In none of these cases we cannot determine whether skepticism is a malady of the spirit, or more, whether it is a malady of the spirit with negative consequences.
