Summary/Abstract: Like any logical discipline, informal logic also takes up the types of arguments from classical-traditional logic or from modern logic. Deductive logical models such as syllogism or hypothetical-deductive inferences are taken up and used. At the same time, the methods of inductive logic are revalued. Anyway, there is agreement about the typology of arguments in informal logic, but, as in any logical or philosophical discipline, some authors insist on certain models, others treat the typology only in passing or not at all (preferring to debate other issues, such as the problem of evaluation of arguments, a really important one in informal logic papers). The most widespread typology is related to the division of arguments into deductive, inductive and conductive. In what follows, we will review some such arguments, the ones that are most often discussed in specialized works.
