Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the poems by Asmir Kujović, Husein Hasković, and Amir Brka through “three models of the world”: the mythopoetical, the realist, and the neo-existentialist. The first model affirms the organic unity of the mythical and the real, in which poetry plays a central role in preserving the wholeness of the world. The second model reveals the world as a space of civilizational violence and destruction, emerging from the ruins of the metaphysical order. Finally, the third model abolishes human individuality, reducing the individual to a faceless element in the masses, whereby the salvation of both the world and humankind is sought solely in nothingness as a meaningful refuge. At the same time, one of the aims of this paper is to demonstrate the extent to which Bosniak poetry is in dialogue with recent, as well as broader Western European literary traditions.
