Summary/Abstract: The present paper foregrounds the idea that dictionaries still play a pivotal role in the process of foreign language acquisition by enabling English language students to gain invaluable insights into the mechanics of the linguistic fabric, i.e. the way vocabulary, grammar, and phonetics inextricably intertwine. No doubt that a dictionary-oriented English learning process involves students’ well-thought-out and consistent training in dictionary literacy. Likewise, we are of the opinion that learners can genuinely enhance their English skills once they integrate these authoritative, reliable reference tools into their study routine, given that dictionaries do symbolize the relentless quest for knowledge alongside an intellectual curiosity to unravel language mysteries.
