Summary/Abstract: The paper is aimed at emphasizing the relevance of active listening skills nowadays, when listeners are surrounded by a plethora of potentially distracting devices. In the same vein, actively listen should amount to their commitment to understanding the topics in question. Furthermore, by acknowledging the fact that active listening covers a wide array of activities ranging from ‘hearing’ to ‘responding’, listeners may step up their efforts in order to always grasp the main points of any lecture.
